The makers of Phasmophobia have released a new cursed object to the game on the 28th February 2023. Players are now able to use the monkey paw to grant 5 wishes by speaking into the microphone. Alternatively, by selecting the text-voice option, you can choose from a selection of options in a drop-down menu if you don’t have a mic. There are 8 different wishes you can make and they can be found around the Sunny Meadows map on notes which can be added to your journal.
List of Monkey Paw Wishes
Here’s a list of all the wishes you can make with the monkey paw. Be aware that each wish comes with a dangerous consequence so use it at your own discretion. Also, each wish can only be used once.

| “I wish to see the ghost” | Causes the ghost to appear in front of the player. | A ghost hunt will be triggered and the player’s visibility is decreased. |
| “I wish for activity” | Causes the ghost becomes more active. | The front door locks for 2 minutes and the breaker is permanently broken. |
| “I wish to leave” | Unlocks the front door. | Momentarily slows player’s movement speed and decreases visibility. |
| “I wish for sanity” | Sets your sanity to 50%. | Sanity will always go to 50% even if a player’s sanity level was higher at the time the wish was made. Also increases the rate of any further sanity loss. |
| “I wish the ghost was trapped” | Locks the ghost in the ghost room. | Triggers a ghost hunt after 1 minute. |
| “I wish for life” | Brings a dead player back to life. | There’s a chance that the player who makes the wish for life will lose their life in exchange. |
| “I wish to be safe” | Creates a hiding spot in the player’s current room. | All lights in the room explodes and if a player uses an item during the next ghost hunt, it will know and find their location. |
| “I wish for knowledge” | Rules out 1 evidence type. | A ghost hunt will be triggered and player’s visibility and volume permanently decreases. |
| “I wish for anything” | Random wish | Players suffer the consequence of whatever wish they get. |
| “I wish for __ weather” | Change the current weather. | The weather can only be changed once per match. |

In normal game modes, only one cursed object will spawn on the map. Here’s the location of the monkey paw on each map in the case that it spawns. If you want to guarantee the monkey paw spawns, you can choose the cursed object in the custom game setting.
