Behaviour Interactive, the developers behind Dead by Daylight, have been pretty busy with activity lately. Not only did they pleasantly surprise fans with the sudden release of the free roguelike spin-off “What The Fog,” but they’ve also been gearing up for the launch of their single-player cinematic game in collaboration with the esteemed Supermassive Games, titled “The Casting of Frank Stone,” slated for later this year.
However, we’ve not heard too much about the PvE multiplayer game set in the DBD universe since it was announced last year. Fortunately, Dead by Daylight’s 8 Anniversary live stream included a short segment discussing details about the game being developed by Midwinter Entertainment, under the working title of “Project T”.
The live stream revealed that Project T is a third-person, PvE shooter that can be played with 1-4 players. From the small glimpses of gameplay, the game looks similar to titles such as Back 4 Blood and Left 4 Dead, though we’ll have to wait until more details emerge to make comparisons.
Project T will move away from the Entity’s trials, and instead move towards another area within the Entity’s realm, known as the Backwaters. This region teems with grotesque monstrosities known as Thrall, as teased in initial developer renders below.
While specific gameplay mechanics remain elusive due to the early stage of development, they teased features such as drivable trucks for your squad to traverse around the map and dynamically changing maps in response to in-game events.
In line with many early access titles, the developers emphasized their commitment to shaping “Project T” in collaboration with player feedback. To facilitate this, they’ve established an insider program where players can contribute ideas, provide inspiration, and offer feedback on various aspects of the game.
Keep your eyes peeled for more info on Project T, and hopefully an Alpha will be available soon for us to try!
